We learn the process of making Goats milk cheese. Join this beginners cheese making class at Green Lotus Studios and Donna will introduce you to the concepts & techniques of transforming Goats milk into delicious cheeses you can share with your family and friends. We will learn about equipment, ingredients and cultures used. Plus get hands on practice making Ricotta ,Cottage Cheese, Mozzarella and Yogurt. You will leave with recipes to take home on a few more easy. fresh cheeses like Feta, Queso Blanco & Paneer.
We will talk about the hard cheese process plus taste and enjoy some of her handmade selections.
Come learn the Goats Milk cheese making process & the many uses for whey. Some folklore & yes, even some real history of cheese making will be included. I use fresh goats milk from a local farm and we will talk about different milks used for cheese and how they vary. Most all of the processes learned in this class will easily translate into using other fresh milks (not ultra-pasteurized milks). If you have access to fresh (not ultra-pasteurized or homogenized) goat or sheep milk, let me know!
