I’m a proud “Lifetime Member” there, and often return for refresher courses… meaning I sit in on courses I’ve already taken and passed just to keep up with what the instructors may have newly included since my classes were completed.
My reasons for taking both the aromatherapy and herbalist courses are the same as yours.
I would wholeheartedly, and without reservation, recommend FSHH as a resource for acquiring the education you seek. During your aromatherapy classes… from beginner’s to the last classes available there, you’ll make and take home many fantastic blends. Some will be at the direction of your instructor, and some will be blends that you personally choose to make depending upon your needs/goals. Your course materials will not only include many FSHH documents, but books that you should read thoroughly (but I know that you’ll do that, for you seem to be in purposeful pursuit of a goal, like I was and still am). You’ll learn how essentials work for each body system… and why! I could continue on and on, but suffice it for me to say that you won’t regret studying at FSHH.
The Herbalist courses are excellent as well. I had studied herbs for the majority of my lifetime (I’m 70 now), but after having enrolled at FSHH, I finally felt as though I was strong enough in education / confidence to prepare herbal blends that now have become regularly used products by me, my friends, and family. For instance, I’ve made a tincture of herbs that really does seem to stop cold/flu infections when such infections are initially acquired. In that course, you’ll be making herbal teas, tinctures, extracts… whatever you can do with an herb, you’ll learn how to do it there! You’ll receive documents specially created by FSHH as well as books --- some really GREAT books!
In addition to all the above, wouldn’t you love learning to make lotions, salves, balms during aromatherapy / herbalist courses… and maybe even soap? (we made a special shampoo bar during one class, but I’m not sure if that’s offered every time.)
Yes, I make products for sale, but at this time my main focus is soap making. I sell a lot of that, especially the “Colloidal Silver” type of soap. Other products, such as lotions and salves, body butters, lotion bars & etc., I no longer offer for retail purchase, but I still make them very often for personal use and for gifting to others.

PAIN STCK
I have been using the pain stick since Sunday. I have focused on two areas. My neck (which has been stiff) and my right wrist. I am getting great relief in my neck when I rub it across the back of my neck and over the top of my shoulders. As far as my wrist, I have been applying on the outside and the relief is within minutes and lasts for hours. -Peggy |
"Just wanted to send you a word of thanks for the many handmade soaps you sent to our AVDET and the crew of Coast Guard Cutter STRATTON. We passed them all out to the 140 or so crewmembers and everyone loved them. We are wrapping up a Counter-Drug deployment off the coast of Central and South America. We look forward to coming home soon.
Thank you and you and your crew at GLO Studios for making our work smell a little better!"

"What great fun we had driving down to Black Market Minerals in Kissimmee! Dressed alike in our hot pink Rock On! shirts, we were easy to spot excitedly looking over all of the gems and crystals! We each picked up our prospecting bag as well and went outside and mined for minerals as well. Jasper, Rose Quartz, Calcite, and many more seemed to magically appear as we shook our pans through the water. It was a great bonding time as well a great learning experience to see many rocks and crystals in both tumbled and rough. I can't wait to go back." |
"I want to thank you very much for a very nice experience making candles. My grandsons had a very good time."

"I have absolutely loved learning at Green Lotus Studios! The laid back, fun atmosphere contributes to each of the classes and the instructors I have had have been fantastic! Ms. Donna is a wealth of information and her knowledge has created in me a desire to want to learn more and more. Her beautiful personality pours out of her. I highly recommend trying out Green Lotus if you have never been there. Chances are you will get hooked."

Earth Sprint Natural Stain Remover (soap stick)
I tried to get the stains out of a delicate sweater but Shout and Biz didn't work. I used the 1/4 " I have left of the Earth Spring stain re mover stick on each spot and re-washed it. It came out spotless; literally saving a $300 sweater and Calvin Klein t-shirt. - Julie James |
"I first went to Green Lotus Studios for a cold process soap class with my adult daughter and loved that! My husband had always had dry itchy skin but about 2 months after we started using the soap I had made in class, he no longer had this problem. Obviously he was sensitive to the chemicals found in commercial soaps. He has taken several soap classes with me since that time and we have a soap workshop in our garage. Next came lotion and body butter then melt and pour soap. It seemed I couldn't get enough of Green Lotus' classes. I moved through cheese making, herbal salt blends and tea making, natural pet care, and mushroom growing, Nutritional herbalism and Beginning Aromatherapy. I've taken lipstick making, eye shadow blending, blush, mascara and eye liner creation. I make my own face creams, and lead free lipsticks now! How cool is that? I am creating my own small apothecary to create herbal blends and tinctures, have a supply of soaps to use and give as gifts, and I am making lotions and body butters for friends. I have on hand a supply of natural remedies for painful joints and treating the common cold and even an anti-fungal that I am using to treat a wart I have. Believe me they all work very well.
I was given the opportunity to take beginning herbalism and the rest has now become part of MY history. I am in the Masters Herbalism class now and loving it! It has been the most enlightening class I have ever taken and opened my mind to all the possibilities before me. I consider Ms. Donna and Ms. Patty to be not only wonderful mentors but friends as well. An unexpected bonus! I've also created friendships with people I never would have known which have been another unexpected bonus. I intend to go further with classes as my time allows because I work full time. I am a registered nurse and have always believed we should use all things available to us to improve our health. If you want not only an adventure but an opportunity to grow, learn and improve your family's health and well-being, come on in and take a class, it probably won't be the last one you take. I dare you to open your mind and grow so you can GLO!"

"I wanted you to know, I accidentally spilled piping hot water on my thumb when I was pouring it into a recipe; I put the arnica balm on it immediately and it did sting for about thirty minutes but that was all. The water was really hot, it should have blistered and peeled. It didn’t do either, and the next morning there was not any sign of ever being burned, no pain or marks. Awesome stuff; but you already knew that. ;) . From my house it has worked for sprained ankles, preventing bruising, spee ding up recovery of bruising, and relieving burns (and in that preventing blister and scarring). " |
