    You will learn:

    Skin Science
    To be able to properly take care of the skin you need to know everything about it, from the structure to the physiology you will learn everything to keep skin healthy. We will go into cosmetic toxicology and holistic skin health and will focus on the enemies of the skin.

    Formulation Skills
    The first steps to becoming a formulator are knowing the ins and outs of every ingredient in order to create with them safely. Choosing the correct ingredients, layering formulas and calculating the percentages of formulas are all things you will learn in this class.

    Facial Product Formulation
    Next, you will start formulating your first organic facial skincare products. We will cover toners, gels, cleansers, and moisturizers and introduce you to a wide range of cosmetic formulation techniques – making tonics, gels, bi-phase products, foaming products, creams, balms, and oils. You will learn how to use more complex ingredients such as oil-in-water emulsifiers, natural solubilizers, and green surfactants.

    Body Product Formulation
    With the knowledge of oil-in-water emulsification, you now have we take it one step farther with water-in-oil emulsification.  In the section, you will get the opportunity to experiment even more with green surfactants and you will have the opportunity to create a small range of natural body care products.

    Spa Product Formulation
    In this section, you will take all your existing knowledge and apply it to spa products creating and formulating a natural, lush and invigorating line that will include scrubs and spa treatments.

    Aroma-Cosmetology
    Aromatics are essential to the creation of any line and in this section, you will learn how to blend aromaceutical compounds and add them to your products. Volatile aromatic compounds are extracted via expression or distillation from certain medicinal or fragrant plants these compounds are what we refer to as essential oils.

    Beauty Business Skills
    Once you have these skills down we help you to take your creation to the next level. With beautiful packaging including label creation and ideas for your new line.
