The sun was just setting and there she was stuck on the razor blade edge of a cliff hundreds of feet in the air, in and out of consciousness. As she drifted off again there it was the same as last time! The breath of the beast was as, fire sharp needles penetrating every part of her being. She tried so desperately to hang on to the shred of who she was, the kind and loving woman, mother, wife, aunt and friend, but at times it was so hard. This beast had worn her down so greatly… Just as she had lost all hope she saw in the distance from the cliffs overhead a trickle of light glowing and sparkling. As it came closer there standing so rock solid was her GLOing Knight with his weapons of choice to fight back the fire breathing dragon that brought with it such pain and agony! So many people either deal with pain on a daily basis or know someone they are close to that does. Pain can truly make it so hard to hold onto who you are. The goal for many people around the world is NO PAIN! Did you know that you can get rid of a lot of pain just by changing your diet? In the Green Lotus Studios class, Compounds for Pain Inflammation and Arthritis, you will learn about how to change the way you eat and how to use herbs to decrease pain. It is taught by Ms. Kati who deals with chronic pain on a daily basis. She teaches natural ways to decrease pain that she has researched and tried personally. Ms. Kati has been able to get relief from some of her daily pain through the use of herbs and essential oils. Keep in mind that you should stay under the care of your physician and make sure that none of the herbs interfere with medications you are currently on. There are also herbs you should not use with certain conditions such as hypertension and liver damage so please ask your doctor before using any herb or essential oil. No matter whom we are or where we are from, we have all suffered some sort of pain. For some it may be a headache or achy flu symptoms and for others it may be extreme pain from spinal issues, Fibromyalgia or any number of different ailments. You may or may not be able to reduce your pain completely, either way the quality of your life will be greatly increased! In this class you will learn about different essential oils and herbs that help to decrease pain and inflammation. You will leave with a bath salt for pain that you and your class mates create… A pain cream… And you and your class mates will create a tea of choice for pain to take home as well... Here is the recipe we came up with in class. This tea is a Headache, Flu and inflammation tea since it is Flu season.
1 part of each of the following Elderberry, Cardamon pods, White Willow Bark, Rose-hips ¼ part of each of the following Turmeric, Ground Ginger, Black Pepper Steep for 20 minutes and add honey to taste after it has cooled a bit.
